I would like to tell you that you can keep your knees clean. But I am not good at lying.
2 :
take some pictures and build a modeling book then go to open-calls to various agencies around the city on the websites of agencies they will give you the hours where you can do this good luck

its quite simple mate.. search online for all model agencies sites in your area etc as most have a contact us for new moddels page.. they are always looking.. get them 5-10 totally different shots of yourself.. include a basic pic as a model has to be able to fit to all situations.. the better you are etc at doing this the more work you will get... they know exactly what they are looking for.. expect alot of rejection.. if they like you they will call you in for test shots for a proof sheet.. then if they do take you on they will help you get a book / portfolio together.. this costs alot but they will invest in you... yep big contract time... over the next few years expect to make no money at all and work 14 hour days.. hard work. its a short career and if you want glamour.. its the wrong industry. im a freelance creative director www.glenwilson.net when i cast normally i see 30 models a day and 1 gets the gig.. for a days work expect $300 ish when you start but you will spend most of your life at castings and this you will have to pay travel etc for.. but if its what you want in life.. go for it pal.. it can be fun.. but all models are advised to stay at school and get well educated as not many come out millionares. good luck glen

One Model Place.com. Click on my link below and get started finding local photographers (I'm one, actually), agents, talent scouts, and other models that can help you with recommendations and advice. Don't be discouraged... everyone wants to have your dream so put downs are common. Be yourself, stay positive and don't let people charge you for anything. If you have to pay for services, go somewhere else. Models get commissions. You may pay for products you may want though (photos and portfolios you may need to get your name and likeness out there) but I don't see why you would want to do that just yet with electronic mail (internet) available to you. TFCD is the most common free service a photographer will provide you (Time For CD) and is on an exchange rate... you are working for the photographer in exchange for some of his images for your portfolio. Good luck. .

These are the top mens agencies in NY in terms of bookings and top talent on their rosters http://models.com/agencies/top-men/ The individual agency sites should have details on what sort of photos and info you need to submit for consideration, as well as days/times of open calls (if any). Each agency has different requirements so read carefully. If there are no details on the site, then call the agency and ask them

What jobs can I work at at age 14?

What jobs can I work at at age 14?
I'm going to be 14 this year, and in the summer, I really want to make some money. I live in Bergen County New Jersey and I want to know if any place like Subway, Blockbuster, or grocery shops will hire me to do any kind of dirty work for minimum wage. If so, please tell how much I can expect to earn from that certain workplace. And also, would I need a work permit to do these jobs? And how do I get a permit?

Any work you do and earn money is a JOB. Your options are limited. Most businesses want you to be 16 to hire you for gainful employment. Time to be inventive, My suggestions to you: Make up fliers and pass them around in your neighborhood. Offer to do whatever work it is you want to do, such as : Computer work, Babysit, Clean Garages, Organize Cupboards, File Papers, Wash Cars, Mow Lawns, Pull Weeds, Tutor the neighbors kids, wash Dogs, Dog sit, Clean the Pool, Assist the elderly, whatever... Post first whatever it is you want to do or are good at ... However, You should keep your options open and make a decision after the persons call you instead of not giving them many reasons to call. Say you are a student and available to work on weekends also

Most states restrict those under 16 from working. You may check with your local state employment office and see if you can get a permit to work. There are other options. You could do some things on your own such as mow lawns or other jobs around your neighborhood. Some people do very well mowing and doing yard work. You could also trim trees and hedges, paint and do odd jobs, clean out garages and basements. Another option would be to deliver newspapers. I don't know what the current restrictions might be but when I grew up I had a friend who delivered papers and made pretty good money for the time involved.

If you live near westwood, i know the guy in the 5 & 10 cent store is like desperate for employees. My friend has been working there since 13.

Culver's minimum hiring age is 14 with a workers permit. I called many stores because I am 14 looking for a job. This was the response they gave which makes me happy after looking for so long. Find a local one go online and apply and go in store to apply or call and ask if they are hiring. What I did was Google a bunch of business near my home and found their numbers using Google maps or their sites and I called and directly asked if they are hiring and what age do they hire at. Try local grocery stores, pizza parlors, retail stores, fast food restaurants.

Here's a short list of jobs which you can create to generate income: 1. Learn calligraphy so that you can provide handwritten invitations and thank you notes to prospective wedding parties, birthday celebrations, etc. Seek out clients through wedding planners at nearby churches and temples. A starter calligraphy kit usually runs around $20 and anyone can easily pick up this skill. The going rate is usually $1 per hand addressed item. 2. Seek from your neighbors a gardner position which involves planting, weed removal, plant/tree trimming, light brush clearance. You will be using the neighbor's equipment and tools. Again, do not represent yourself as a lawn mower since there are any number of safety issues involved. A door-to-door solicitation of surrounding neighbors is required and you can charge between $6 to $9 per hour. 3. Offer policing/removal or clearance of trash services to surrounding neighbors which involve trash pickup within nearby residential area. Limit the extent of pickup to small areas and be aware that there are no hazardous terrain or elements involved in this process. Again, a door-to-door solicitation of neighbors is in order. You can charge between $6.75 to $7.50 per hour. 4. Acquire a set of window cleaning tools [a bucket, liquid window cleaner, sponge, squeegee, handle with an extension and a small step ladder] and solicit local businesses for your window cleaning services. However, be careful to limit the height of the window cleaning to no higher than one story. Charge $1 per window panel. 5. Why not become a paid feeder servicing the disabled at nearby nursing, convalescent, assisted living/care centers and hospitals. It involves feeding food to patients who are unable to feed themselves. The starting rate is $8.00 per hour. The only downside is that one has to take precautions to wash one's hands after each feeding. A posting of your services [by a business card or flyer] on a reviewable bulletin board would be enough to generate customers. The paid feeder position is one of the fastest growing occupation at this time. Good luck!

How to convince parents to let me backpack through europe at 16 ( forget to mention something)?

How to convince parents to let me backpack through europe at 16 ( forget to mention something)?
When I am 16, I want to backpack through Europe on my own for about 4 months. I can get the money needed but how can parents be convinced to let me do this, on my own. I am very responsible person and do not try and get into bad situations. I speak some French and some Russian so would that be any reason to let me do what I want to do, This will be only chance. The countries that would be seting foot on are. So how how much would I need to bring , money? Would being with my best friend make them more likely to let me go At 16 can I legally do what is wanted without permission? Dublin, Ireland Reykjavik, Iceland Oslo, Norway Stockholm, Sweden Tampere, LS, Finland St. Petersburg, Russia Moscow, Russia Yerevan, Armenia Jerusalem, Israel Chisinau, Moldova Athens, Greece Tirana, Albania Belgrade, Serbia Podgorica, Montenegro Budapest, Hungary Zagreb, Croatia Rome, Italy Malta Madrid, Spain Andorra La Vella, Andorra Paris, France Brussels, BRU, Belgium Amsterdam, Netherlands Should I be allowed to do this?

I don't think at sixteen, you will be legally allowed..unfortunately.
2 :
Wait two more years, then you can do as you please.
3 :
Hi, it is legal but your parents need to sign a document, I'm from Belgium btw and I see you're going there ^^
4 :
ive been around the world when i was 14 i'm sure you could do it at 16.
5 :
wait two years.
6 :
Yes, what is two years difference going to make? People mature at different ages, some never mature at all. It sounds like you're a mature, responsible young man, enjoy your trip.
7 :
Oh, ME too! I so wanted to do that and my parents wouldn't let me. Some of my older 17 year old friends did it in the summer. So, what did I do? I joined the American Field Service and became a foreign exchange student. My parents went for that. It wasn't backpacking through Europe but it WAS a foreign experience. They have summer programs and full year programs. I've been a host mom, too. Youth for Understanding is another program that I've worked with as well.
8 :
You might be responsible enough to do it, but there is bad people in the world and your parents are just trying to protect you. It's not that they don't want you to have fun, which you probably think. No you can't go w/o their permission. And proposing that you want to go with your friend will most likely lower your chances, if there is any chance.
9 :
I think that you really show them that you are able to protect yourself against unexpected dangers, can take care of your health and can refrain from sex with strangers. Life is very precious and we want our children not to lose or damage it for fake adventure. We trust them but still we can not stop caring about them. We don't care if this pisses them off but the main concern is that we want to be sure that they are going to get through the hardships and become responsible for their actions. I think you should wait two years. It is going to be more fun.
10 :
I don't think 16 is permitted ....
11 :
I depends on your maturity, but it would be better if you can wait until your 18. Your nightlife options will be very limited at 16. Russia will require a tourist visa, they are valid for 30 days only. Looking at your itinerary, I hope your parents have deep pockets. Best of luck.
12 :
You've already asked this question 7 times; how many times do you need to see the word NO before you realize that your parents are right and you are wrong? What fallacy makes you think this is your only chance? That is total nonsense. Your list is ridiculous for a single trip of a seasoned adult traveler; it is total insanity for a child. Most of those places won't permit to stay in a hotel alone; some won't let you enter the country unaccompanied. The cost will be astronomical; £10.000 to £15.000 easily, maybe more. The travel to all those places will be huge, and accomodations - even a hostelry - for 4 months (120 nights) would be thousands. Perhaps you should ask your parents what it cost them to have you in their home for 4 months - the answer will shock you! The visas you will need will cost hundreds, and if they knew you were traveling alone the would deny the visa - especially Russia. So you speak a little French and a little Russian - enough to get around? Or only a few random words? What about Flemish, Spanish, Maltese, Croatian, Serbian, Albanian, Greek, Moldovan (Romanian), Hebrew, Armenian, Finnish, Norwegian, or Icelantic? To answer your quesion: NO - you should not be given permission to do this. NO - you are forbidden by law from leaving home without permission. You will be labelled a runaway and hunted down like a fugitive. Even asking such a question proves you lack the responsibility or maturity to be let out of your home without supervision - let alone out of the country.

it is easy to find graphic design programs but there are so many people in the field now that finding high paying, steady work is difficult...you might want to work on your overall communication skills becuase even with a degree from the best school in the world no one would seriously consider you based on your writing...

i too am an artist, and would like to offer the advice to go to a trade school for art design, it takes less time and you have many payment options.good luck!
