Sweetie, search the net. Graphic designers are HIGHLY PAID. However, they do come in many different categories!
2 :
A college education is valued at $1 million increase in pay over your career. Go for it! As for your specialty, you may not need to nail that down for two to three years, so don't sweat the details. Get in there and start laying a good foundation for your work. In the Christmas spirit, the first two years you will build your tree, then your Junior and Senior years will add the ornaments, lights, and tinsel. Shine, Baby, Shine!

Go to school, don't listen to your friends who are nay saying. Study what you want. The idea is to be able to think, so it really doesn't matter what you study. If you do get into graphic design, you will probably wind up on Madison Ave. in New York City. New York happens to be the art capitol of the world. Just remember aim high, even if you miss you will wind up higher, and better off than when you started. Look at schools on-line, apply for financial aid, visit these schools. Go for it! I went back to school after 15 years, got my degree, and got a high paying job. I'm not doing what I studied, but school made me more adaptable, and marketable, plus I like my job. You can do it, don't give up.

HI well first of all from your nick name i think i got a bit of ur cultural background (same as mine) ... of course graphic designers are highly paid in the states but in other countries it can vary a lot .... especially if you are going to work in a developing country Now i believe that u r a very ambitious person and u have a great mind .... my advice ... do whatever you believe in and whatever you love .... and you will succeed The problem in my country is that every one goes to college according to their grades .... not what they love .... and that's why we don't see alot of successful people ... u only succeed when u love what u r doing Besides You can try applying for a scholarship (probably u already thought of that) .... or if u didn't get one then apply once you r there ... but go for it girl ... chase your dream ... good luck ...

How much would a profession like this make in norway?

How much would a profession like this make in norway?
If you happen to be a Finishing Contractor in Norway, as in freelance, would you be making a lot of money? Lets say u live outside of Oslo? Are people in this profession considered wealthy, or just have enough to feed a family of 2-3? As a Finishing contractor, and a strong believer of the Christian Faith, can he also be an elder of a church there? putting together financial and professional status...?

Think you're paying at the pump?

Think you're paying at the pump?
This chart is from CNN's website. Gas prices around the world (in US dollars per gallon). Pretty astonishing collection of data: Gasoline prices in the United States, which have recently hit record highs, are actually much lower than in many countries. Drivers in some European cities, like Amsterdam and Oslo, are paying nearly 3 times more than those in the U.S. The main factor in price disparities between countries is government policy, according to AirInc, a company that tracks the cost of living in various places around the world. Many European nations tax gasoline heavily, with taxes making up as much as 75 percent of the cost of a gallon of gasoline, said a spokesperson for AirInc. Netherlands Amsterdam $6.48 Norway Oslo $6.27 Italy Milan $5.96 Denmark Copenhagen $5.93 Belgium Brussels $5.91 Sweden Stockholm $5.80 United Kingdom London $5.79 Germany Frankfurt $5.57 France Paris $5.54 Portugal Lisbon $5.35 Hungary Budapest $4.94 Luxembourg $4.82 Croatia Zagreb $4.81 Ireland Dublin $4.78 Switzerland Geneva $4.74 Spain Madrid $4.55 Japan Tokyo $4.24 Czech Republic Prague $4.19 Romania Bucharest $4.09 Andorra $4.08 Estonia Tallinn $3.62 Bulgaria Sofia $3.52 Brazil Brasilia $3.12 Cuba Havana $3.03 Taiwan Taipei $2.84 Lebanon Beirut $2.63 South Africa Johannesburg $2.62 Nicaragua Managua $2.61 Panama Panama City $2.19 Russia Moscow $2.10 Puerto Rico San Juan $1.74 Saudi Arabia Riyadh $0.91 Kuwait Kuwait City $0.78 Egypt Cairo $0.65 Nigeria Lagos $0.38 Venezuela Caracas $0.12 In a few Latin America and Middle-East nations, such as Venezuela and Saudi Arabia, oil is produced by a government-owned company and local gasoline prices are kept low as a benefit to the nation's citizens, he said. All prices updated March, 2005. Source: CNN http://money.cnn.com/pf/features/lists/global_gasprices/

The wacko european countries end up forcing people to take public transportation and make everyone lived in crowed, rat-raced cities because the governments keep the price of gasoline so high. And, it destroys the economies of small towns by making it hard for people to travel.
2 :
Yes...we are paying at the pumps. We have the ability to produce our own oil, but for some reason there are people in congress who won't let us get it (I'm looking in the Democrats direction).
3 :
Man has the intelligence and mechanical technology and capabilities to invent (and it has been invented) vehicles that burn on natural solar energy, and the reason this hasn't been brought to fruition is because there is no money to be made and money is the reason we stay trapped in using gas for our cars.
4 :
Right, but almost all these countries have comprehensive public transportation systems which are inexpensive and run frequently and reliably. The cities are also constructed much more closely together and in smaller areas, unlike the US, which makes walking and biking much more feasible. A few decades ago, GM illegally purchased all the mass transit systems in the US and systematically shut them down so that people would be forced to buy their cars. That's when our real problems started! GM was slapped with an anti-trust lawsuit but the people responsible were only charged a few dollars each; the entire corporation was fined $1,000.
5 :
FWIW, US gas prices have not yet hit a higher record then that from the early 70's, in inflation-adjusted dollars.
6 :
Dude, what's you question?
7 :
The people in Venezuela got it made!

In the news--What do you think about the final decision in this matter?

In the news--What do you think about the final decision in this matter?
Gay pastor gets job after all The Bishop of Oslo, who's maintained a conservative stand against gay pastors in the state church, has backed down, and now will grant a ministry to a pastor who's living in a gay partnership. Bishop Ole Christian Kvarme's decision earlier this month to deny a pastor's position to Svein G Josefsen sparked wide debate when it became known last week. Were these scriptures thought of when making this decision-- 1 Timothy 3:2-5--"The bishop therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, orderly, given to hospitality, apt to teach; no brawler, no striker; but gentle, not contentious, no lover of money; one that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (but if a man knoweth not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)" Also Romans 1:27

That's called faith without works
2 :
I think that's one just thing that has been done in a long line of injustices.
3 :
I personally do not think think that any church leader should show unrepentant sin. I feel that homosexuality is a sin. I would liken it to a preacher getting drunk and doing the sermon. Willingly sinning while preaching is not the message Gay people should be welcomed to the church with open arms and I do not think today enough is done to show that. But we cannot corrupt our beliefs and permit sin to become acceptable in the body of Christ ( the church ). If he is repentant about it that is okay, but if he does it openly and defies God that is wrong.
4 :
That bishop has no backbone
5 :
Good for him, Christians need a lesson in tolerance.
6 :
I believe the gay pastor will probably do just fine.
7 :
Matthew 24:14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. 15"So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,'[a] spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
8 :
I think any bishop who allows homo's as ministers is in deep you know what(pardon the pun).
9 :
If the work a person does warrants their promotion then they should get it. Ones sexual orientation should not play a role in that decision.
10 :
I expect the scriptures were ignored - like they are when we do not sell our children into slavery or kill a neighbour for wearing clothing made of two types of cloth - Leviticus Mark
11 :
this shows that we are living in the last days just as Jesus Christ said. now they even allow gays to marry and adopted children. in the bible it tells us that men are to marry woman, not man marrying man or woman marrying woman. now they are letting gays be pastors. they should not be allowed. they say there marriages are doing great for the children. children should know that there is a mother and father. Jehovah made the first marriage to Adam and Eve. not to Adam and steve as some keep saying. hate what Jehovah hates and love what Jehovah loves. www.watchtower.org
12 :
The fact that homosexuality has been around long enough to be mentioned in the Bible should give people a clue that it is something people are born with. To condemn people for being who they are seems extremely hypocritical, especially if you claim to believe that your god created EVERYTHING. Therefore, it created gay people. If this god is always right, if everything that happens is part of its plan, then aren't you second-guessing this god when you make such statements about gays? Isn't that blasphemy? BTW, it's funny that someone quoted the book of Timothy--I don't know much about the Bible, but I do know that it is in Timothy that there is a passage about the benefits of drinking wine--maybe that's the one the hypothetical drunken minister was reading.
13 :
What comes to my mind is....We are indeed living in the last days. It is back like in the days of Noah. The time is soon. Praise Jah!
14 :
It brings to my mind immediately the Scripture at 2 Timothy 4: 3 & 4: "For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories." Christiandom has become like a smorgasboard! They have twisted the rules so that eveything is acceptable...which reminds me of another scripture... Matthew 7:13 & 14: "“Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14 whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it." The Bible plainly states... 1 Corinthians 6: 9 & 10: "What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom. "
