Yes, that's global, as in the entire world! ***My question is, does that enormous military budget make you feel safe? Does that protect your freedoms?*** Did you know that the US ranks 13th on the list that measures the quality of life for each country in 2005. Countries that ranked above the US include, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Australia, Italy, Denmark, and Singapore. These countries spend a fraction of what the US spends on defense and they are just as safe as we are. They also have the same freedoms we do as well. In terms of education the US is becoming a laughing stock. The US ranks 33rd in terms of reading, 27th in terms of math, and 22nd in terms of science. Why do Americans look at socialism as a bad thing?
Sure, a country that is entirely socialist is similar to communism, none of us want that. But socialized health care and education are excellent. Just look at the list of the top ten nations with the highest standard of living. Norway Sweden Canada Belgium Australia United States Iceland Netherlands Japan Finland The U.S. is only number 6! And guess what else? Every single nation on that list has socialized health care! Every single one! So clearly the nations with some socialist values are doing the best in the world. Somehow the U.S. managed to make its way onto the lower half of that list. If we gradually adopted socialized health care and education and gave up the middle east wars for oil we could eventually become like Canada. I don't mind paying 15% sales tax if it means that my entire family can have medical treatment and an education for free. So why do Americans act like socialism is evil? CAPITALISM is evil! Why should your government be entirely centered around money? Now, I don't think Obama is a socialist but he does have some policies that are similar to socialism and I am all for them! To the person who said capitalism made the U.S. the greatest country in the world: If its the greatest, why is it only #6 on the list for standard of living? To the person who referenced Hitler: Hitler was socialist but I'm not saying we should become 100% socialist. I'm saying take some socialist ideas, like healthcare and education, and apply them in a free society. Just because some socialists went bad doesn't make all of the principles of socialism bad too. To the person who said that the other countries are bankrupting themselves: Um, what about our trillion dollar deficit and failing stock market? We're doing worse than they are! I don't know, this is a good question and one that I have been asking myself. I think some degree of socialism is a good thing. I think we need more of a blend of economic theories and practices, not just capitalism. I think that the competitive nature of capitalism is good and has helped keep as on top for many years but there needs to be more social programs as well.

Big deal. You wouldn't want to live in Norway, Sweden, Canada, Belgium, Australia, (Belgium again for emphasis), Japan or Finland. Iceland might be OK. And the Netherlands maybe. Countries which are not on the list which have socialised health care include Malta, Cuba, a lot of African countries, and the UK. Health care does not work in any of those (with the exception of the UK, where it mostly does, but not as well as they make out.)

I think you owe it to your girlfriend to discuss it with her. Discuss all the options. Why can't she move with you? Is that not a very valid option? Honestly, if I thought my boyfriend would even consider taking a job and moving to another country without so much as asking me my opinion about it I would leave him in a second; he wouldn't be worth my time if he would do something that awful to me, especially if I was pregnant.

Would you be okay missing the first few milestones (including the birth)? How often would you be able to see each other? What's the outlook for you regarding this job? Is there any possibility it won't work out? There are a lot of questions that need answering. She'll have a lot, but you'll need to approach it from a rational level. I know if I was in her position, I would be upset. Feelings may be hurt, so stay positive and be sure to make her understand how much you love her and how dedicated you are to this unborn child.

YOU CAN NOT DO THAT TO HER. that would be the biggest mistake of your life. and probably make extremely depressed and try to commit sucide and your baby could die 2. but in all serious i dont know if she would commit sucide probably not but when i a woman is depressed while pregnant that can create serious complications during labor and even cause the baby birth defects. trust me my dad left my mom when she was 7 months pregnant and had a similar situation, he (my dad) was going to send out for her to come live in america once he started to make a nice amount of money at his new job and that didnt start happening until i was 7 and i didnt even get to see him until then because my mom was extremely heart broken and pissed at him that he left. and now there back together and we live in the states but i feel now like he abandoned me and we arent very close and i dont have much respect for him. TRUST ME unless you want your wife to be upset with you and ur kid to think you abondoned them then go right a head. but if you dont then take your wife with you and if she cant leave right now wait for her to be able to come until you go out.

Now that Congreswoman Giffords is shot over healthcare, should we repeal healthcare?
The new Healtcare Bill basically comes down to this: as a country we're giving more money to poorer people, so that they remain healthier and don't die, so they are able to be good consumers and buy all the stuff rich folks make for them. This redistribution of wealth (which workes wel in Canada, China, New Zealand, Japan, Belgium, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, Australia, Mexico, Hungary, Poland, Republic of Korea, Chile, Slovenia, and yes also in Israel and these United States, although they are in complete denial about it), has upset a lot of Corporate-elite-class people and middle class people, and some of these are so upset, that they are resorting to violence. Isn't it time to admit that, IF giving poor people drives some rightwingers to murder Congresswomen, then we have made a mistake, and we should repeal it. Everyone cares for poor people but if anti-government ReichWingers start killing people over it, it's not worth it. Oh yeah, and Loffner is not a liberal, government haters come strictly from the Repub ReichWingers. Isn't a good rule of thumb, that if people get murdered, we should do something else? What yall think, is dead congreswomen worth the Health Care Bill?
