I'm wondering where is the U.S.A heading when it comes to the economy?
I remember some stupid people working with me that were in favor of the Iraq war, I know is a fact that the world is full of stupid people and I'm not saying im smart. Now many stupid people around the country blame Obama, blame Bush for this economic mess. The economic decline of the U.S.A started in 1976, four years before I got here. I have seen this decline myself, here in Secacus, New Jersey, it was full of factories, my own mother in law worked at Liz Clairborne factory around North Bergen,NJ. Cubans like myself that I knew, had Embroidery businesses and were making tons of money, driving nice mercedez benz, everything is gone, adios, no more, its funny they still have the sign in Union City, NJ claiming it to be the Embroidery capital of the U.S.A People, this country is in the mess because of bad administration from the 70's till these days, people most of the time deserve what they get, we in Cuba deserve Castro for a while, but not 50 yrs of course, the U.S.A has been mismanage for years, this is what you get, 20% unemployment, houses will keep going down according to experts, bet. 5 to 10 percent, it will take bet. 4 to 6 years for this mess to improve. Adios now and if you unemployed, go to church and do a lot of praying, you going to need it, cause getting a job, is like winning the freaking lottery. Adios. talked about the Iraq war because it costed more than 3 trillion dollars, Mr. Stiglitz(economist) said that the war damaged the economy. This is not a rich country, we have 40% of people living pay-check to pay check.... Hi, Ronald.. Thank you for your comments, I'm not an economist, but I read and hear a lot of information about economics. I know what is going on, and anyone with commun sense will agree, this mess has taken 3 decades, lets stop blaming one president. thank you.

When our country went down hill economically in the 70s as you say, you are quite correct. It happened for several reasons including globalization policies like NAFTA, union destruction of American industry and our lifting of tariffs on foreign produced goods. The last 20 years we have given our economy to the Chicoms and the Japanese. Both control their labor cost (no unions allowed) and manipulate their currency value in the exchange rate market. However, the Chicoms and the Japanese are shitin- in their own mess kits as it will come to a head in the not to distant future. It depends if our politicians have the guts to do the right things and take our economy back. If they don't do it on a timely basis (within 3 years), we will have terrible social unrest (Tea party is a harbinger) followed by a revolution. Obama unfortunately is trying his best to destroy what is left of our country.
